1) Is the involvement of the Chevron Visualization Laboratory a requirement in my research?
It is not a requirement but it is very desirable to see projects that are able to incorporate the Visualization Lab into driving research and scholarship.
2) Will proposals from a single research group be considered?
The ERIT awards funded by the Ken Kennedy Institute require that that the project is not too narrowly defined amongst a small research group/department. Proposals that involve collaborators across departments and schools will have an advantage in meeting the goals of the ERIT program. If broad collaboration isn’t a component of the proposal, then we will focus on what additional scholarship and research will be enabled by the project. This is not to say we have not funded more narrowly defined projects but the goals remain to focus broadly and to stimulate cross disciplinary collaboration.
ERIT awards funded by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) do NOT require a broad collobaration across schools/departments.
